NCL, Inc. continues to respond to the desires and needs of communities by starting new Chapters every year. Our organization has doubled in size in the last decade and we look forward to more growth in the future as we pursue our vision to become the premier mother-daughter organization in every state.
Steps to Form a Chapter
Step 1: Submit the Interest in Starting an NCL Chapter Form
Step 2: NCL, Inc. determines the viability of a new Chapter
Step 3: Assemble a core team of leaders to serve on the Chapter Board of Directors
Step 4: Conference call with the forming Chapter Board and NCL, Inc. representatives
Step 5: Hold an informational meeting to generate local interest in NCL
Step 6: NCL, Inc. Board of Directors approves the Chapter to form
Step 7: Hold a Formation Meeting with a minimum of 25 women who will join the Chapter
Throughout the entire 3-12 month pre-formation process you will work closely with NCL, Inc. staff. It takes a motivated woman, a strong Chapter Board and lots of support by NCL, Inc. to start a Chapter, but it is a richly rewarding experience for all.
What to Expect During the Expansion Years
The Chapter will be considered an Expansion Chapter for 18-24 months after the Formation Meeting. During this time, you will set-up the Chapter corporation, form partnerships with local philanthropies, develop your Chapter governing documents, establish mission-based programs and lay a strong foundation for your Chapter’s future. Although starting a Chapter requires a great deal of work, there is a support network of NCL, Inc. staff, volunteers and your very own Chapter mentor. Expect to grow as a leader and share lots of laughs, some tears (of joy) and an abundance of memories and experiences with your daughter and the members of your Chapter.
